El hundimiento de la superficie del suelo podría afectar a un 19% de la población mundial para el año 2040, descubrió un equipo internacional dirigido por investigadores del Instituto Geológico y Minero de España, informa la agencia Sinc.
Los expertos llegaron a esa conclusión, tras haber creado un mapa que muestra las áreas del planeta que son más vulnerables a la subsidencia del terreno, comunicó este viernes la Universidad de Alicante, que también participó en la investigación.
