La vacuna contra el covid-19 de la farmacéutica estadounidense Moderna hace que el sistema inmunológico humano produzca anticuerpos que duran al menos tres meses.
Los científicos estudiaron la respuesta inmunitaria de 34 participantes adultos, tanto jóvenes como mayores, y encontraron que los anticuerpos «disminuyeron ligeramente con el tiempo pero permanecieron elevados en todos los participantes tres meses después de la segunda dosis» del fármaco.
