Nueva York, EE.UU.- El presidente del partido Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, arribó este viernes a las 10:00 a.m. a la ciudad de Nueva York en un vuelo comercial, procedente de Santo Domingo.
El líder de la oposición política dominicana sostendrá varias reuniones este viernes con autoridades de la Gran Manzana, además de encuentros privados con empresarios. Ese mismo día se reunirá con con un grupo de empresarios que respaldan la Fuerza del Pueblo y participará en un cóctel pro-recaudación de Fondos para el partido.
El sábado 22 de abril Fernández viajará a la ciudad de Boston, donde al igual que en NY, tendrá encuentros con personalidades y empresarios que le apoyan, allí también se realizarán actividades de recaudación de fondos.
Durante su estancia en Boston Fernández realizará un encuentro político regional de Nueva Inglaterra, una reunión con la Dirección de FP en la dirigencia regional y un acto de juramentación del Sector Externo.
Encuentros académicos
En Nueva York y Massachusetts el expresidente dominicano y presidente de la Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo (FUNGLODE) estará en University of New York, CUNY, y en John Jay College of Criminal Justice; al igual que en University of Massachussets y en Harvard Kennedy School, donde realizará una presentación.
El líder de la oposición tiene previsto regresar a la República Dominicana el jueves 27 de abril, para integrarse personalmente a los trabajos de organización de la marcha conmemorativa del Día Internacional del Trabajo, que ha anunciado la Fuerza del Pueblo para el 1 de mayo, sobre el que se darán detalles en los próximos días.
