Medios locales informaron que el diputado Josué Lemus renunció a su cargo como ministro de Comunicaciones, Infraestructura y Vivienda para volver al Congreso y eventualmente buscar la presidencia parlamentaria.
Lemus fue electo en 2019 como diputado por el oficialista partido vamos, pero aceptó la oferta de encabezar la cartera de Comunicaciones, y Sergio Chiapas ocupó su puesto como representante en el Congreso del departamento de Quiché (centro).
«Ya cumplí con la labor por la que fui designado como ministro», dijo Lemus al confirmar que ya entregó el cargo en el ministerio, después que el presidente Alejandro Giammattei aceptara su dimisión.
