República Dominicana.- Este domingo 15 de mayo el Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), llevará a cabo su XXI Convención Nacional Ordinaria de Delegados, donde escogerán a su presidente, vicepresidentes y secretario general.
En ese sentido la Comisión Nacional de Elecciones Internas del PRM (CNEI), hizo el llamado a sus 1,256 delgados para que se den cita en el Pabellón de Volleyball del Centro Olímpico, para realizar las votaciones desde las 9:00 a 4:00 pm.
Por la presidencia del PRM están compitiendo José Ignacio Paliza, actual presidente actual del partido y Ramón Antonio Liriano, quienes fueron las dos únicas personas que presentaron sus planchas para aspirar a ese alto cargo de la organización.
La terna de Paliza tiene a Milagros Ortiz Bosch, Eddy De Jesús Olivares y Nelson De Jesús Arroyo, para optar por los cargos de primera, segunda y tercera vicepresidencia del partido, en ese mismo orden.
En tanto que la terna de Liranzo tiene a José Batista López, Roberto Denise Pierre y Guillermo Peña, para las posiciones de primer, segundo y tercer vicepresidente del partido.
De la secretaría general del partido solo se presentó una terna que fue la encabezada por Carolina Mejía, quien es actual secretaria general de esa organización y también alcaldesa por el Distrito Nacional.
Esta terna está integrada por Kelvin Cruz, Lía Díaz y Jean Luis Rodríguez para primer, segundo y tercer subsecretario, en ese orden.
La modalidad de votación será a través el voto directo y secreto, utilizando un proceso de automatización en la que habrá un registro de esos participantes y con los dispositivos electrónicos los delegados harán la votación desde donde se emitirá una boleta que será depositada en una urna.
Un total de diez mesas estarán siendo utilizadas para el registro de los 1,256 delegados y los mismos estarán distribuidos en función de los apellidos y luego de concluido el proceso de votación, la Comisión Nacional de Elecciones Internas cerrará el proceso a la hora indicada y comenzará el conteo de los votos por mesa que fueron realizados.
La XXI Convención Nacional Ordinaria de Delegados estará compuesta de cuatro etapas, en la primera etapa solo se realizarán las votaciones de los puestos de la presidencia, vicepresidencia, secretaría general y subsecretarios, en la segunda corresponderá al segundo nivel de escogencia de las autoridades de las zonas, municipios y distritos no zonificados.
Asimismo, la tercera etapa comprende la escogencia de las autoridades de los distritos y municipios zonificados, los provinciales, las seccionales del exterior, los frentes sectoriales y al final de concluidos todos esos procesos se realizará la cuarta y última etapa que será la realización de una convención nacional ordinaria donde serán ratificados los escogidos en todo el proceso y se completarán los organismos del comité nacional entre otros.
La convención se realizará en honor a José Rafael Abinader Wassaf, padre del presidente Luis Abinader.
