El presidente de Perú, Pedro Castillo, anunció que el Gobierno venderá el avión presidencial para recaudar fondos y destinarlos a la sanidad y educación públicas.
Previamente a este anuncio, Castillo había dicho que durante su gestión prohibirá que los funcionarios públicos viajen en primera clase en los vuelos que realizan por trabajo.
«He podido ver que muchos funcionarios públicos tienen muchos privilegios. Anuncio que hoy voy a firmar una norma que prohíba que ningún funcionario viaje en primera línea. En un Gobierno del pueblo los funcionarios viajarán como cualquier ciudadano de la patria», declaró el presidente.
Por otro lado, el mandatario afirmó que en su Gobierno todos los ministros están en «constante evaluación», anunciando que separará a aquellos que no trabajen.
