El excandidato presidencial por el movimiento indígena de Ecuador, Yaku Pérez, presentó ante la Fiscalía de ese país una denuncia penal para que se investigue al presidente ecuatoriano, Guillermo Lasso, por presunto fraude fiscal, tras aparecer en la investigación denominada Papeles de Pandora.
«Nos da vergüenza a los ecuatorianos de tener al primer mandatario entre las primeras figuras de los líderes mundiales, pero de evasores de impuestos, por eso hoy hemos presentado ante la Fiscalía una denuncia penal para que se abra una investigación y que se pida al Servicio de Rentas Internas (SRI) todos los movimientos financieros, los pagos, los impuestos de Guillermo Lasso», declaró Pérez, a la prensa.
Pérez pidió que la investigación se extienda a los familiares y allegados de Lasso, desde 2013 cuando el actual jefe de Estado presentó por primera vez su candidatura.
La denuncia se presenta luego de que el 3 de octubre el Consorcio Internacional de Periodistas de Investigación (ICIJ), dijo que Lasso se deshizo de un entramado de empresas offshore que tenía en paraísos fiscales antes de ser candidato a la Presidencia de su país.
Pérez llegó a la Fiscalía, en Quito (norte), acompañado del legislador Bruno Segovia para realizar la denuncia.
Segovia anunció que el jueves se creará una comisión multipartidista en la Asamblea Nacional para investigar el caso y sus implicaciones políticas.
