Los presidentes de Rusia y China, Vladímir Putin y Xi Jinping, mantuvieron este viernes una conversación telefónica durante la que discutieron la crisis ucraniana.
«El presidente de Rusia informó detalladamente al presidente de China sobre las causas de su decisión de reconocer las Repúblicas Populares de Donetsk y Lugansk y llevar a cabo una operación militar especial destinada a proteger a la población civil del genocidio y asegurar la desmilitarización y desnazificación del Estado ucraniano», se dice en un comunicado del Kremlin al respecto.
Asimismo, Putin señaló que está preparado para enviar una delegación para negociar con Kiev en Minsk.
En respuesta, Xi resaltó que respeta las acciones de Rusia en la crisis en el país vecino. En general, la conversación tuvo un carácter «constructivo y amistoso» y mostró la coincidencia de las posturas de los dos países en cuanto a las cuestiones principales de la agenda internacional, afirma el Kremlin.
