El Centro Nacional de Sismología de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) informó que en las últimas 24 horas han ocurrido varios sismos en distintas zonas del país.
“Se han registrado en la isla cuatro eventos sísmicos, uno de estos en Haití, en el golfo de Gonaïves en Haití”, confirmó el sismólogo Welifer Lebrón a Diario Libre en una conversación por teléfono.

En ese sentido, indicó que los movimientos telúricos que se han producido están dentro de los parámetros de la normalidad.
El más reciente sismo se registró a las 5:54 de la tarde y fue de magnitud 3,5 en el municipio de Gaspar Hernández, en la provincia de Espaillat. Este fue de 17.4 kilómetro de profundidad.
