El Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE) informó este domingo que seis provincias se encuentran en alerta roja, debido a las lluvias que siguen afectando parte del territorio de la República Dominicana provocadas por una vaguada.
La provincias en alerta roja son Azua, Independencia, San José de Ocoa, Barahona, San Juan y Bahoruco.
En tanto, en amarilla están Santo Domingo, el Distrito Nacional, San Cristóbal, Valverde, Peravia, Elías Piña, Pedernales y Santiago Rodríguez, mientras que en verde se encuentran Montecristi, Puerto Plata, Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Dajabón, La Vega y Santiago.
El COE recomienda a las personas residentes en las provincias en alerta abstenerse de cruzar ríos, arroyos y cañadas que presenten alto volúmenes de agua y no hacer uso de balnearios.
