Un voraz incendio originado en un tanque de combustible en la zona industrial de Barranquilla, en las inmediaciones de la vía 40 con calle 85, se produjo este miercoles dejando hasta el momento un bombero muerto que fue identificado como Javier Solano.
De acuerdo con las autoridades locales, debido a la cantidad de combustible, es posible, que apagar el incendio les lleve 4 días.
Los organismos de emergencia solicitaron a los ciudadanos no acercarse al lugar y a los conductores buscar alternativas viales debido a la cantidad de humo y cenizas que se han creado y pueden ser tóxicas para las personas. Además, pidieron que las personas que residen en las inmediaciones del siniestro cierren puertas y ventanas para evitar que les lleguen los rezagos del incendio.
Tras la emergencia que se ha creado en La Arenosa, el alcalde Jaime Pumarejo se pronunció y aseguró que tras revisar la situación se procederá a la instalación de unos monitores de agua y espuma que estarán direccionados hacia dos tanques que intentan enfriar. Además, que se le está haciendo seguimiento al proceso, esperando que los otros tanques no se vean afectados, pues, pueden traer implicaciones peores.
