República Dominicana. – El Ministerio de Salud Pública, a través del Viceministerio de Salud Colectiva y la Dirección General de Epidemiología, recomendó algunas medidas a la población para prevenir “el cólera”, enfermedad que ha provocado como mínimo ocho muertes en Haití.
Entre las medidas a tomar están el lavado frecuente de manos, no consumir alimentos crudos, reportar diarreas líquidas con aspecto de «agua de arroz», entre otras.
La entidad aclaró que en la nación dominicana no se han detectado casos ni defunciones compatibles con la enfermedad.
Salud Pública dijo que las medidas forman parte de un “plan de contingencia” ante el brote de cólera en el vecino país.
Por último, se pide seguir las advertencias generales y específicas del Ministerio de Salud Pública sobre “la prevención y sintomatología del cólera».
