El presidente de Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, declaró un duelo nacional de dos días a partir de este domingo tras la muerte de 41 personas, civiles y ayudantes del ejército, en un ataque perpetrado por presuntos yihadistas el jueves en el norte del país.
«La misión de rastreo en la zona de la emboscada tendida por grupos terroristas armados contra una columna de Voluntarios para la Defensa de la Patria (VDP) y civiles el jueves 23 de diciembre (…) ha establecido un balance de 41 muertos», afirmó el portavoz del gobierno, Alkassoum Maiga, en un comunicado.
«El presidente declara un duelo nacional de 48 horas», agregó el texto.
