Wall Street abrió este lunes en rojo y su principal indicador, el Dow Jones de Industriales, restaba un 0,51 %, cuando los inversores esperan saber cuál será la decisión de la Reserva Federal estadounidense sobre el porcentaje de la subida de la tasa de interés.
Diez minutos después de comenzar la sesión en la Bolsa de Nueva York, el Dow Jones perdía 158,38 puntos, hasta 30.664,04 mientras que el selectivo S&P 500 restaba un 0,52 % o 19,98 unidades, hasta 3.853,35.
Por su parte, el índice compuesto del mercado Nasdaq, que aglutina a las principales tecnológicas, descendía un 0,45 % o 51,56 enteros, hasta 11.396,84.
Esta semana, los inversores se centran en gran medida en una ronda de decisiones sobre tipos de interés por parte de los bancos centrales, ya que tras la decisión de la Fed del miércoles le seguirá el Banco de Inglaterra el jueves.
Según una encuesta de CME Group, el 80 % de los inversores cree que la Fed subirá los tipos en 0,75 puntos porcentuales, mientras que el 20 % anticipan la posibilidad de que el banco central eleve las tasas en un punto porcentual.
