La ganadora de las elecciones presidenciales en Honduras, Xiomara Castro, informó que el 27 de enero de 2022 prestará juramento como presidenta constitucional de la República.
La política, del izquierdista partido Libertad y Refundación (Libre), anunció que el exfiscal y diputado Jari Dixon coordinará el traspaso de mando junto a las subcoordinadoras Natalie Roque y Belinda Martínez.
Con el 98,86 % de las actas computadas, Castro alcanza el 50,68 % de los votos, aventajando en más de 14 puntos al siguiente candidato, Nasry Asfura, del oficialista Partido Nacional.
