Para las primeras horas de este sábado, la Oficina Nacional de Meteorología (Onamet) pronosticó una reducción de las lluvias sobre el litoral costero sur debido a las partículas del polvo de Sahara.
“El ingreso de una masa de aire de menor contenido de humedad y con partículas de polvo del Sahara estarán limitando las lluvias sobre el país. No obstante, los remanentes de humedad dejados por la onda tropical y los efectos orográficos locales originarán chubascos aislados en horas matutinas sobre el litoral costero sur”, cita el informe meteorológico.
Sin embargo, al caer la tarde, una nueva onda tropical incidirá en las condiciones climatológicas, causando aguaceros dispersos sobre las regiones: nordeste, el litoral costero sur y la cordillera Central.
Las demás áreas solo experimentarán nubes dispersas y escasas lluvias, prevé el organismo.
Para el domingo, Meteorología estima que se producirán escasas actividades de lluvias a nivel nacional, debido al poco contenido de humedad en la masa de aire y la ligera presencia de polvo de Sahara. Sin embargo, “debido a la onda tropical sobre Haití, los factores locales y una vaguada al noroeste de la isla, no se descarta la ocurrencia de algunos chubascos locales sobre las regiones: suroeste, la zona fronteriza y la cordillera Central”.
