El Departamento del Tesoro de EEUU autorizó el cierre de transacciones para permitir el mantenimiento limitado de operaciones y contratos esenciales con la petrolera estatal venezolana PDVSA hasta el 1 de junio de 2022, informó la entidad en un comunicado.
«Todas las transacciones y actividades prohibidas por la EO 13850 (…) que normalmente son necesarias para la liquidación de operaciones, contratos u otros acuerdos en Venezuela que involucren a PDVSA o a cualquier entidad en la que PDVSA posea, directa o indirectamente, una participación del 50% o más, y que estuvieran vigentes antes del 26 de julio de 2019, están autorizadas hasta el 1 de junio de 2022», apuntó.
La exención aprueba específicamente transacciones con Chevron Corporation, Halliburton, Schlumberger Limited, Baker Hughes Holdings LLC y Weatherford International Public Limited Company.
