Panamá dio inicio este viernes a una estrategia de seguridad en las provincias de Darién y la Comarca Guna Yala, en la frontera sur con Colombia, para combatir el tráfico de drogas y la trata de personas.
«La campaña Wana Jumaradá va a iniciar por Jaqué (Darién) y va a finalizar en el área del Caribe, precisamente analizando los sitios donde estas personas se mueven clandestinamente, y de allí, nosotros develar sus accionares delictivos», explicó el director del Servicio Nacional de Fronteras (Senafront), Oriel Ortega Benítez.
De acuerdo con el Senafront, se ejecutarán tareas terrestres y marítimas de seguridad, control y reconocimiento para «mantener la paz, seguridad y estabilidad de las comunidades fronterizas».
