El presidente Sebastián Piñera anunció la creación de un sistema de atención a emergencias integrado con el “911”.
En esta nueva institucionalidad unirá la comunicación entre el sistema de ambulancias, Bomberos de Chile y Carabineros (policía militarizada), lo que en Chile se conoce cómo el «ABC», explicó el mandataria este lunes 28 de febrero.
Este detalló el que proyecto no solo busca crear un número telefónico único, sino que también «generará una integración y coordinación de estos tres servicios, por ejemplo, si hay un incendio se requerirán ambulancias por posibles personas heridas».
Aunque el presidente no entregó una fecha para el inicio del proyecto, explicó que la primera etapa consistirá en implementar el centro de llamadas, capacitando a los funcionarios para gestionar la recepción, categorización, priorización y derivación de los llamados de emergencia.
Así mismo explicó que está definiendo una ciudad del país para instalar una marcha blanca, es decir el inicio de la actividad, con el fin de probar el sistema y posteriormente poder expandir su funcionamiento a nivel nacional.
