Claudia López, alcaldesa de Bogotá, aplaudió la decisión de Migración Colombia de exigir antecedentes judiciales a los migrantes que ingresen al país.
La alcaldesa señaló que “no hay derecho a que cualquier criminal pueda cruzar las fronteras de Colombia cuando quiera con lo que quiera y venir a atacar o agredir a los colombianos impunemente”, además, puntualizó que habrá un proceso de identificación rápido, para que: “criminal que cometa un delito en la ciudad pueda ser perfecta y rápidamente judicializado”.
De hecho, aseguró que pudieron haberse salvado muchas vidas no sólo en Bogotá sino en todo el país: “Cuántos robos hubiéramos podido evitar y cuántas judicializaciones hubiéramos podido hacer si desde hace más de un año se hubiera hecho, pero bueno, finalmente se hizo”, además, celebró la medida porque con toda certeza, dijo Claudia López, se podrán reducir día a día los atracos pues, permitirá que se hagan más judicializaciones efectivas.Que no haya impunidad de nadie y mucho menos de gente que acogemos en nuestro territorio, de buena fe, y que son criminales que terminan agrediendo a nuestra comunidad”, concluye la mandataría capitalina quién durante su discurso felicitó el trabajo que se adelanta en la localidad de Barrios Unidos, donde se adelantan programas en materia de seguridad y mediante los cuales, no se han reportado homicidios en lo corrido del año 2022, lo que significa una reducción del 20% de este delito en comparación con años pasados.
Estas declaraciones fueron respondidas por el director de Migración Colombia Juan Francisco Espinosa, quién aseguró que los esfuerzo para identificar a la población migrante vienen de hace mucho tiempo atrás.
Por ejemplo: “Desde mayo del año pasado, con el Estatuto Temporal de Protección, lo que hicimos fue crear un mecanismo de identificación con soporte biométrico.
Es decir, llevamos mucho tiempo en este procedimiento, llevamos mucho tiempo trabajando con la Policía, con las Fuerzas Militares y con la Fiscalía en procesos de identificación”.
