La cifra de muertos a causa de las protestas que se desataron en Perú tras la destitución y posterior encarcelamiento de Pedro Castillo, aumentó este miércoles a siete.
La séptima víctima falleció en el Hospital de Abancay, en la región peruana de Apurímac, respondía al nombre de Cristian Alex Rojas Vásquez, de 19 años, quien resultó herido en Andahuaylas el pasado sábado en medio de las manifestaciones que exigen liberar a Pedro Castillo, disolver el Congreso y convocar a una Asamblea Constituyente para reformar el Estado.
En las manifestaciones, los seguidores de Castillo reclaman también la salida de Dina Boluarte de la Presidencia, quien fue designada por el Parlamento peruano tras destituir al mandatario.
Del total de víctimas, cinco murieron en Andahuaylas, una en la provincia apurimeña de Chinchero y otra en Arequipa. Además de Rojas Vásquez, los fallecidos son dos menores de edad, de 15 y 16 años; otros tres jóvenes, de 18 años, y un hombre de 38 años, según informó la Defensoría del Pueblo.
