Saúl Reyes Rodríguez, expresidente municipal de Texistepec, en el sur del estado mexicano de Veracruz, falleció este viernes tras recibir varios impactos de arma de fuego mientras se encontraba en un velorio familiar.
El ex funcionario, quien fue dos veces alcalde de Texistepec, fue atacado por hombres que viajaban en una motocicleta, quienes huyeron del lugar sin que hasta el momento se conozca su paradero.
A Reyes Rodríguez lo auxiliaron paramédicos de la dirección municipal de Protección Civil y fue trasladado a un hospital, donde murió minutos después.
La tarde del viernes, el gobernador de Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, aseguró que el homicidio del ex alcalde de Texistepec estaría ligado a una disputa del crimen organizado por terrenos con residuos de hidrocarburos.
