El periodista Armando Linares López, director del portal Monitor Michoacán, fue asesinado a tiros este martes cuando se encontraba en su casa de Zitácuaro (Michoacán, México).
López fue hallado sin vida en su domicilio. Su cuerpo recibió al menos el impacto de ocho balas. El organismo ha abierto una investigación para esclarecer los hechos de acuerdo a la Fiscalía General de Michoacán.
Con este asesinato, suman dos los periodista que le han arrebatado la vida en Michoacán en lo que va de año, y el octavo comunicador víctima de homicidio en México en 2022.
Desde el año 2000 se han registrado 151 asesinatos a periodistas en México, 31 de ellos durante la actual legislatura de Andrés Manuel López Obrador, que termina en 2024, según datos de la organización internacional de derechos humanos Article 19.
