Mueren alrededor de 13 personas en la localidad de Masambo al noreste de la República Democrática del Congo un ataque terrorista perpetrado por las Fuerzas Democráticas Aliadas (FDA), acorde a informes de Keñasereka Benga, jefe de la localidad.
El atentado ocurrió la madrugada del 4 de abril en el territorio de Beni (provincia de Kivu del Norte).
«Por el momento, puedo confirmar el número preliminar de muertos: 13 personas, todos civiles. Fueron asesinados por los rebeldes invasores de las FDA», dijo el jefe de la localidad, citado por el medio local 7sur7.
En su cita, Benga, añadió que los rebeldes de las FDA además «quemaron varias casas y luego procedieron a robar las propiedades de la población».
En el este de la República Democrática del Congo actúan numerosos grupos rebeldes y guerrilleros, entre ellos las Fuerzas Democráticas Aliadas que se fundaron en 1995, operan también en Uganda y cuentan con islamistas entre sus miembros.
