El banco suizo UBS ha acordado comprar a su debilitado rival Credit Suisse por algo más de 2.000 millones de dólares, tras un fin de semana de intensas negociaciones entre los dos bancos, el gobierno, el banco central y la entidad reguladora, informaron Finantial Times y la agencia Bloomberg.
Ambos medios indicaron que el acuerdo sobre la totalidad de las acciones entre los dos mayores bancos suizos se firmará el domingo por la noche y su precio será una fracción del precio de cierre de Credit Suisse del viernes.

Según el FT, los accionistas recibirán 0,50 francos suizos (0,54 dólares) por acción, y el acuerdo se cerrará el domingo, antes de la apertura de los mercados en Asia.
