El exmandatario de Brasil, Inácio Lula da Silva admitió este domingo que hubo corrupción en Petrobras, pero aseguró que todo se descubrió por la transparencia de su Gobierno, durante el primer debate celebrado este domingo en el país, con miras a la segunda vuelta de las presidenciales.
Lula, que gobernó Brasil entre 2003 y 2010, permaneció cerca de 600 días en la prisión acusado de corrupción, condenas que la Justicia anuló por un tema de procedimiento.
«Si hubo corrupción, se capturó al ladrón que robó y acabó. Si se arrestó es porque hubo investigación. No había secreto. Todo era transparente», enfatizó el exsindicalista.
En el debate, que enfrentó por primera vez al actual mandatario y al exsindicalista, Lula criticó el cierre de empresas que resultó de todos los procesos que se dieron por las corruptelas de Petrobras, porque «acabó con millones de empleos».
Lula señaló que la transparencia que existió en su gobierno permitió adelantar las investigaciones que terminaron en la captura de quienes participaron en las irregularidades.
A dos semanas del balotaje, el último sondeo electoral divulgado el viernes por la firma Datafolha coloca a Lula con el 49 % de la intención de voto frente a un 44 % de Bolsonaro, un resultado que prácticamente refleja la votación de los dos candidatos en la primera vuelta.
