El gobierno colombiano, decretó este lunes el estado de desastre en el país, para atender de manera urgente la emergencia que han causado las fuertes lluvias y que han provocado severos daños en distintas regiones del territorio colombiano.
«Les solicito trabajar este año conjuntamente, tanto en las urgencias, como en lo importante, porque hoy ya hoy me toca declarar el estado de desastre, y esto es consecuencia de acciones humanas tomadas desde hace unos siglos hacia acá», señaló Petro desde un evento realizado en Tunja, en el departamento de Boyacá, al centro del país.
El mandatario señaló que el decreto de desastre en Colombia también busca atender los problemas acumulados en su país por años, que aún no reciben solución, y que se han agravado por la crisis climática que es afectada por el sistema económico que rige actualmente al mundo.
Petro anunció la semana pasada que decretaría esta medida para poder movilizar recursos que fueron presupuestados por el gobierno anterior de Iván Duque para este año, partidas que dijo, actualmente «no se están ejecutando».
En ese sentido, explicó que con esos fondos el Gobierno podrá atender con urgencia tanto a las poblaciones que están en «crisis por las inundaciones», así como también las que están en emergencia «por el hambre»
