República Dominicana – El Ministerio de Salud Pública informó este viernes que 157 estudiantes y 205 maestros han dado positivo al COVID-19 tras el inicio de las clases presenciales, cifras que no representan una alerta epidemiológica para ese sector.
La información la dio conocer a Diario Libre el doctor Ronald Skewes, director de Epidemiología quien, además, aclaró que el aumento que el aumento registrado en los contagios de menores de 20 años en los últimos dos boletines, se debe a una actualización de los datos; sin embargo, dijo que esos casos se habían contabilizado en el reporte general de positivos.
“Los positivos de las escuelas son los mismos que están arriba consignados en los boletines, lo que pasa es que abajo no se había actualizado la cifra. Son poquitos los casos que han sido identificados en las escuelas, son como 150 y pico, los demás son de más tiempo para atrás”, precisó.
El epidemiólogo precisó que son 157 niños y 205 maestros que se han identificado en los centros educativos desde que iniciaron las clases presenciales.
En torno a los casos de menores de 20 años, precisó que el retraso en los boletines se debió a que esos casos se tienen que depurar para ser colocados en el renglón que les corresponde.
