La Justicia de Nicaragua ha enviado a juicio a once opositores después de una audiencia inicial celebrada este viernes por presuntos delitos de conspiración, y ha decidido mantener la prisión preventiva para todos los acusados.
El viernes se presentaron ante la Justicia José Bernard Pallais –exviceministro de Exteriores–, Félix Madariaga, José Adán Aguerri Chamorro, Juan Sebastián Chamorro, Arturo Cruz, Violeta Granera y Daisy Dávila, así como a Hugo Torres y Dora María Téllez –exguerrilleros sandinistas– y Suyen Barahona.
Tras declarar, la Justicia ha mantenido la medida cautelar de prisión preventiva. Entre los opositores enviados a juicio hay tres precandidatos a las elecciones presidenciales convocadas para noviembre –Arturo Cruz, Félix Maradiaga y Juan Sebastián Chamorro–.
Mauricio José Díaz Dávila y Franciso Xavier Aguirre Sacasa, por su parte, fueron acusados el jueves de delitos de conspiración «para cometer menoscabo a la integridad nacional», el mismo del que se ha acusado al resto de opositores. El jueves acudió a testificar Vícto Hugo Tinoco Fonseca, contra quien también se ha iniciado un juicio.
El presidente Daniel Ortega busca ser reelegido en las próximas elecciones del 7 de noviembre, en cuyo marco electoral se lleva la ola represiva contra formaciones opositoras, lo que ha dejado más de 30 políticos y periodistas independientes detenidos en los últimos meses.
