Con motivo de los procesos electorales que vivirá el país el domingo próximo, desde este viernes quedó prohibida la venta, distribución y consumo bebidas alcohólicas en Ecuador, así como la realización de propaganda política.
Así lo confirmó el Consejo Nacional Electoral del país andino, el cual, además recordó que la Policía se suma a los controles que en este sentido tienen lugar desde esta jornada y hasta el lunes próximo, en cumplimiento del llamado Código de la Democracia.
Asimismo, las autoridades informaron que la sanción por incumplir con esta ley es una multa de 225 dólares, lo cual equivale al 50 por ciento del Salario Básico Unificado.
En caso de que los locales comerciales quebranten la ley seca, podrán ser clausurados de diez a 30 días y tendrán una multa de hasta 200 dólares.
Además desde la medianoche de este jueves dio inicio al silencio electoral que impide a los candidatos, partidos, movimientos y alianzas políticas hacer propaganda.
