El pleno de la Convención Constitucional rechazó en general el tercer informe de la comisión de Sistemas de Justicia, que incluía temas como tribunales ambientales, Ministerio Público y Banco Central, entre otros, para su ingreso al borrador de la nueva Constitución.
El documento, que contenía 91 artículos y 36 indicaciones, fue desestimado por 55 votos a favor, 20 en contra y 65 abstenciones. Con esto deberá volver a la comisión para ser sometido a nuevos cambios que generen un mayor respaldo entre los convencionales.
Durante la jornada algunos constituyentes como Manuel Woldarsky (Coordinadora Plurinacional) llamaron a desestimar el informe, para permitir la aplicaciones de nuevas modificaciones que le permitan su viabilidad.
“Necesitamos llegar a un acuerdo, y ese acuerdo está cerca. Los invito a abstenerse para que en definitiva el informe completo vuelva a la comisión”, señaló el ex integrante de la desaparecida Lista del Pueblo.
Mauricio Daza (INN), integrante de la comisión, se abstuvo y explicó que “acá estamos abordando múltiples materias muy importantes: Contraloría, Defensoría Penal, justicia constitucional y la existencia de una Corte Constitucional que asume las labores del actual TC. En ese marco no tuvimos el tiempo suficiente para abordar todas estas temáticas de una manera que nos permitiera llegar a acuerdos amplios”.
Vamos por Chile también se inclinó por el rechazo y la abstención. Carol Bown (UDI) comentó que “este es un informe muy largo, entre que crea, mantiene y cambia 25 órganos autónomos, por lo tanto son delicados cada uno de los temas y hay algunos cambios que se les deben hacer, hay consenso en eso”.
La situación marcó un contraste con lo ocurrido durante el miércoles, cuando tras un acuerdo entre las izquierdas se logró la aprobación de varios artículos del informe de Sistema Político, entre ellos el que estableció el fin del Senado y la creación de la Cámara de las Regiones.
