La Policía Nacional española ha desmantelado la primera granja de minado de criptomonedas en la provincia de Sevilla. En la operación, que tuvo lugar en la localidad de Santiponce, los agentes incautaron 22 equipos informáticos dedicados a la producción de criptodivisas con un valor de más de 50.000 euros (55.760 dólares).
«La granja utilizaba corriente eléctrica pública y disponía de potentes elementos de refrigeración y ventilación para su funcionamiento», reza el comunicado oficial emitido este viernes, que revela que inicialmente, se sospechó sobre una posible plantación de marihuana en el interior de unas caballerizas situadas en el lugar. Sin embargo, esta versión fue desmentida tras el registro de los establos.
