República Dominicana.- El presidente del partido Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, dijo este jueves que nadie se ha preocupado tanto por el futuro de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), como quienes integran esa organización política y en las gestiones de gobierno que presidió.
Fernández señaló que los avances en la UASD constituyen una prioridad para los hombres y mujeres que integran la Fuerza del Pueblo. Agregó que la actual gestión de gobierno sólo promete para la UASD, pero no hace nada.
Fernández recordó que en sus gestiones de gobierno se construyeron 13 centros regionales de la UASD, señalando que en el actual gobierno no han podido inaugurar ni uno.
Fernández dejó juramentado en el partido Fuerza del Pueblo a cientos de servidores de la UASD y de varias universidades privadas que ingresaron a esa entidad, a través del movimiento Fuerza Administrativa Universitaria (FAU).
Entre los servidores de la UASD y de otras entidades de educación superior que fueron juramentados, figuran Julio Jiménez, Carlos Veiras, Katherine Sánchez, Carlos Tolentino, Pedro González, Carmen de la Cruz, Yoni Ogando, Ramón Acosta y Mónica Batista, quienes comprometieron su tiempo y esfuerzo para lograr el fortalecimiento y consolidación de FP, para convertirla en la de mayor crecimiento del país.
A la actividad asistieron importantes dirigentes de la FP, entre ellos, su secretario general, Antonio Florián -Peñita-; la maestra Ligia Amada Melo, titular de la Secretaría de Educación Superior, y Freddy Pérez, secretaria de Asuntos Profesionales.
