Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, presidente de Brasil aseguró su asistencia a la ceremonia fúnebre de Pelé para la mañana de este martes en el estadio Vila Belmiro, situado en el estado de Sao Paulo, donde el ídolo del fútbol recibe un homenaje.
La oficina de prensa del Partido de los Trabajadores indicó este lunes en un comunicado que el mandatario «rendirá su respeto y homenaje a Edson Arantes do Nascimento, conocido como Pelé, y se solidarizará con su familia la mañana del martes 3 de enero, en la ciudad de Santos». Se espera que Lula llegará al estadio a las 9:00 a. m. (hora local), según medios brasileños.
