Dina Boluarte, actual presidenta de Perú, recibió este miércoles en Lima, a los representantes de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH) que asisten al país suramericano tras la masacre registrada el pasado lunes en el departamento de Puno, que dejó un saldo de 17 muertos.
La Presidencia peruana anunció que Boluarte mantuvo «una reunión de trabajo» con los delegados de la CIDH, quienes realizan una «visita de observación» en medio de la convulsa situación y la ola de protestas que experimenta el país desde que el parlamento destituyó al exmandatario Pedro Castillo, el 7 de diciembre de 2022.
Según Boluarte, quien estuvo acompañada de la canciller, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, y el ministro de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, José Tello, reiteró el apoyo de su Gobierno a la CIDH para que cumpla su labor de esclarecer «los hechos de violencia ocurridos en el país». También, «reafirmó su compromiso de seguir promoviendo el diálogo y la paz social».
