Ministerio de Salud reporta ocho defunciones por COVID-19 y 630 contagios.
República Dominicana notificó ocho defunciones en las últimas 24 horas, de las que una se registró ayer, para un total de 3,597 muertes a nivel nacional. El indicador de letalidad se mantiene en 1.29 %.
También, las autoridades sanitarias reportaron 630 nuevos casos de COVID-19 tras la realización de 3,750 pruebas PCR para detectar el virus, lo que sitúa en 16.80 % la tasa de positividad diaria.
Conforme con el boletín número 425 de la Dirección de General de Epidemiología, el país acumula 278,549 casos de coronavirus, de los que 40,582 permanecen activos, mientras que 234,370 corresponden a personas recuperadas. La tasa de positividad acumulada en base a las muestras procesadas en las últimas cuatro semanas es de 11.97 %.
Las autoridades sanitarias informaron que también se procesaron 1,568 pruebas de seguimiento a pacientes contagiados. Desde el inicio de la pandemia se han realizado 1,487,136 pruebas PCR que descartaron 1,208,587 casos.
