De acuerdo a testigos el asesino es conocido como Carlos Juan Rodríguez. Trascendió que Carlos Juan es reincidente en estos tipos de hechos violentos, se dice que meses atrás, hirió una persona.
A la escena del crimen acudieron miembros de la Policía Nacional, adscritos al DICRIM, para recabar evidencia del suceso y establecer responsabilidades.
