Santo Domingo.- El consultor jurídico del Poder Ejecutivo, Antoliano Peralta Romero, anunció este miércoles que el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura (CNM) se reunirá hoy a las 7:00 de la noche en el Palacio Nacional para culminar con el proceso de escogencia de los cinco jueces titulares y sus respectivos suplentes en el Tribunal Superior Electoral (TSE).
Actualmente, el Consejo Nacional de la Magistratura está conformado por Luis Abinader, presidente de la República y de dicho órgano; Eduardo Estrella, presidente del Senado de la República; Bautista Rojas Gómez, senador que representa la segunda mayoría congresual y Alfredo Pacheco, presidente de la Cámara de Diputados.
También Víctor Fadul, diputado que representa la segunda mayoría en la cámara baja; el magistrado Luis Henry Molina, presidente de la Suprema Corte de Justicia (SCJ); la magistrada Nancy Salcedo, secretaria de este órgano; y la magistrada Miriam Germán Brito, procuradora general de la República.
La sesión se realiza luego de las vistas públicas celebradas por el órgano constitucional en el Palacio Nacional, las cuales iniciaron el pasado martes 13 de julio y culminaron el martes 20 de julio.
La fecha anteriormente prevista para escoger a los magistrados era el jueves 22 de julio y fue suspendida sin exponer los motivos. Fueron entrevistados más de 70 aspirantes.
