La fiscal del juicio de Harvey Weinstein pidió al jurado declarar culpable al exproductor de Hollywood de los siete cargos que se le imputan de violación y agresión sexual a cuatro mujeres.
“Es hora de que el reinado de terror del acusado termine”, subrayó la fiscal adjunta de distrito Marlene Martínez al jurado este jueves para dar fin a sus declaraciones respecto al caso de Weinstein.
Martínez afirmó que por un largo tiempo el acusado mantuvo una “conducta despreciable” que nadie podía negar y que fue gracias al poder del que gozaba que nadie pudo hacer nada contra el exproductor.
“Sabemos que (Weinstein) pensó que, al ser tan poderoso, la gente excusaría su comportamiento y por mucho tiempo eso es lo que todo el mundo hizo, todo el mundo volteó la cabeza”, señaló.
El proceso, iniciado el pasado 10 de octubre dio oportunidad a que la defensa de Weinstein comenzará a presentar sus pruebas a partir del 28 de noviembre.
