En Nueva Inglaterra, en particular, se prevé el clima más frío de las últimas décadas, con una sensación térmica que podría descender por debajo de los 45 grados Celsius bajo cero (-50 °F).
En Texas, 430,000 clientes no tenían electricidad el jueves, según PowerOutage.us. Pero las fallas eran más generalizadas en Austin, donde la frustración iba al alza entre más de 156,000 clientes que llevaban 24 horas sin electricidad, que para muchos también significaba no tener calefacción.
