La Policía Nacional de Perú (PNP) confirmó la octava muerte durante las protestas que se llevan a cabo en el país suramericano desde la semana pasada.
Este octavo deceso ocurrió en el departamento de La Libertad, al noroeste del país.

Al fallecido, un hombre cuya identidad aún no ha sido reconocida, le habría caído una piedra en la cabeza cuando manifestantes intentaban tomar el puente Chao, en la provincia de Virú.
«Hay una persona que ha resultado muerta, pero no es por acción de la Policía, ni por arma de fuego, ya se ha internado en la morgue, se ha hecho la necropsia de ley, la muerte habría sido por golpe, con objeto contundente, le ha caído una piedra», explicaron las autoridades policiales.
