A las 12.00 hora de Moscú entró este viernes en vigor el alto el fuego unilateral de 36 horas en Ucrania ordenado por el presidente ruso, Vladímir Putin, con motivo de la Navidad ortodoxa, que se celebra el 7 de enero.
De momento se desconoce si la orden de alto el fuego unilateral se cumple por las tropas rusas que participan en la campaña militar en Ucrania.

Según el Kremlin, la decisión de Putin fue adoptada en repuesta al llamamiento del patriarca de la Iglesia ortodoxa rusa, Kiril, a un tregua de Navidad hasta las 24.00 horas (21.00 GMT) de mañana sábado.
El presidente de Ucrania, Volodímir Zelenski, acusó anoche a Rusia intentar «usar la Navidad como una tapadera» para frenar el avance del Ejército ucraniano y reagrupar sus fuerzas.
